This year’s theme for London Writers’ Week is to provide access to and showcase the best new ideas going on in terms of writing for and using Digital Media in the UK. With the growth of Netflix, Amazon, BBC Three going online and theatre productions use of digital media, we hope the week provides an insight into and advice on some of the best new ideas in the UK.
Just announced: This year’s London Writers’ Week is also a benefit for victims of the Grenfell Tower fire, with 100% of profits from the week going to help victims, supported by The Tabernacle, Notting’s Hill theatre and arts centre at the heart of the community – previous events at The Tabernacle include events with Adele, Lily Allen and others. If you are not able to attend the week in person, you can purchase a Donation ticket and receive email highlights from the week.

How do you build a thriving creative life in the digital age? Come along to find out!
This discussion, hosted by A.C. Smith, Co-Founder of London Playwrights’ Blog and Director of London Playwrights’ Workshop, will bring together a panel of emerging creatives who are working in unique ways to successfully create work in the digital age. You will hear the strategies that worked for them and gain ideas on how to apply these in your own practice. The session will end with an audience Q&A.
The panel is focused on writing for the theatre, but writers from all backgrounds are welcome.

London Playwrights Workshop Ltd is a not-for-profit company that was set up in 2015 to connect emerging writers with the best opportunities, advice, and resources. The company is run by playwrights, for playwrights, and focuses on empowering theatremakers to create their own work. In addition to running workshops and events, LPW manages London Playwrights Blog, which supports writers in achieving their creative and practical goals.
